Do You Want to Build a Wardrobe?

Some People are Worth Melting For

Hello everyone!  It’s not often that I blog but when it comes to my team, it’s hard to get me to stop talking…so I’m enjoying this one.  My Marketing Team makes magic, there is no other way to put this.  After 23 years, I can tell you that the anatomy of a great Kiyonna marketer goes something like this:

– loves animals (and asks to bring them to work repeatedly)
– is brilliant and believes it
– has heart
– lives on coffee, DoorDash, and laughter
– loves DISNEY

To that last point, you have to know we’ve been singing “Do you Want to Build a Snowman?” over and over as Frozen II comes out this weekend.  And, fun fact, my husband worked on the first Frozen during 12 magical years at Disney before joining me at Kiyonna (we finish each other’s sandwiches).  Our offices are walking distance from a movie theater here in Anaheim and I have fond memories of going there with my Marketing team to see the first one.  Good times!

Passionate Founder and CEO Kim and her husband and COO Eddie

So can you imagine the look on their faces last week when in the midst of planning for our “Big Black Friday Blowout”, the idea surfaced to do a singing parody on a campaign they were planning called “Do you want to build a wardrobe?”.

Well I did mention brilliant above so they rose to the occasion and put all their other pressing marketing tasks aside and Let it Go.  Our Content Coordinator Liz, your usual Kiyonna blogger, got to work on the lyrics.  Our Marketing Associate & Jill of all trades Natalie, who you usually see on our Instagram Stories, started practicing her pitch and drawing out the plan, and even played the piano for the music in the background. (Remember brilliant?  She taught herself to play the piano.)

So anyway, after hearing the sweet sound of singing throughout the offices last week, we got to see her version yesterday and it put a smile on my face.  I hope you love this and it puts a smile on yours.  For me, I’ve been impaled once again by my lovely team.

Enjoy!  Ok bye (or buy…get it?  Like a holiday outfit?).

With gratitude,

Kim
