I don't typically wear dresses and so having to got to an upcoming dressy event, I was in a panic about having to find a dress. When I saw this dress I loved it but was afraid I couldn't pull it off. I ordered it anyways and boy an I glad I did! It's fantastic! When I tried it on I couldn't believe how well it fit me and how sexy I looked in it. I got tons of complements and was even asked to dance by a few men I didn't know. Well worth the money... Thank you Kiyonna!

This is beautiful piece, and I love how well-lined it is. The fabric is fairly forgiving, and the ruching is well-placed to conceal some flaws.
That said?
I am 5'4" and this dress was too long. The sleeves were too long as well as the skirt, making it look downright matronly on me. I'll have to have it tailored... short girls, be aware!
The ruching kept slipping down on me, hugging under my breats and under my belly. So it was all bunched up in two places and pulling taut across my midsection.
Finally, the lining of the dress folds a lot, making these vertical lines in the dress that are not supposed to be there. It feels like there's too much fabric in the lining.
Still, it's a great dress and I'm sure it flatters other figures better than mine. I'm not considering returning the dress, but it feels more like a funeral dress than a cocktail dress right now.

I think it's the most flattering dress I've owned. It enhances all my good points while hiding my bad points. it's both sexy and elegant at the same time and it's really comfortable to wear. Another hit from Kiyonna!

I'm so excited to wear this dress! A lot of plus-sized dresses seem like they're designed so the person wearing them can hide in their tent-like lines. Not this one! It nips right in at the waist to show off your curves! I have an audition for my college's operas tomorrow, and this dress is perfect for showing off my waist while downplaying my belly. It's really hard to walk out on a stage if you don't feel confidant in the way you look, and I also have to be comfortable enough to take the deep breaths I need to sustain the voice. I can't do that if I'm wearing something that constricts me too much. This dress fits the bill on both counts. Love it!

This is a lovely dress, but the top runs a little large; I found that the neckline to be much lower and wider than it appears in the pictures. It's difficult to wear a regular bra with this because both the straps and tops of the cups show, so it's a bit too va-va-voom for certain occasions. For reference, I'm a 0X-1X and both busty and short-waisted so there's a lot of décolletage going on. I'm going to attempt to have it altered and if it's successful this will be a go-to LBD. The length is perfect and it is really beautiful from the back with the ruching and the deep scoop neck - wear your hair in a chignon to show it off! |
